The Wishmaster Djinn, sometimes referred to as just the Wishmaster or the Djinn, is a fictional evil genie featured in the Wishmaster film series. He first appeared in the 1997 movie Wishmaster where he was played by actor Andrew Divoff. Divoff appeared not only in makeup, but also as the Djinn's human alias, Nathaniel Demerest in the film. Andrew reprised the role of both the Djinn and Demerest in the movie's 1999 sequel, Wishmaster 2: Evil Never Dies. Beginning with the next film in the series, Wishmaster 3: Beyond the Gates of Hell, the role of the Djinn was played by actor John Novak, who also portrayed him in the fourth and final installment of the series, Wishmaster 4: The Prophecy Fulfilled.
