Wanda Maximoff, also known as the Scarlet Witch, is a fictional superhero character featured in film installments of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Played by actress Elizabeth Olsen, she first appeared in an uncredited cameo role in a bonus scene from Captain America: The Winter Soldier in 2014. She made her first full appearance as a secondary antagonist in the 2015 film Avengers: Age of Ultron. She appeared again as a supporting character, and perceivable minor antagonist (depending on which side the conflict the viewer aligns themselves with) in Captain America: Civil War. She appeared next in Avengers: Infinity War, and again in a smaller role in Avengers: Endgame.
