Toy Story 2 is an American computer animated family film of the children's adventure genre. It is the second installment in Toy Story film series by Pixar Animation Studios and Walt Disney Pictures. The film was co-directed by John Lasseter, Ash Brannon and Lee Unkrich with a script written by Andrew Stanton, Rita Hsiao, Doug Chamberlin, Chris Webb, John Lasseter, Pete Docter and Ash Brannon. It premiered in theaters in the U.S. on November 24th, 1999.

  • The tagline for this film is "The toys are back in town". This is a play on "The Boys Are Back in Town", which is a rock song recorded by Thin Lizzy in 1976. The song has been used in advertising and preview material for the film.
  • The Pixar film short Luxar, Jr. is included as a bonus attachment to this film. Luxar, Jr. is the "son" (?) to Luxar, Sr., which is the animated desk lamp and mascot for Pixar Animation Studios.
