Tower Heist is an American feature film of the action and comedy genres. It was directed by Brett Ratner with a screenplay by Ted Griffin and Jeff Nathanson, based on a story treatment by Griffin, Adam Cooper and Bill Collage. The movie was produced by Relativity Media and Universal Pictures and released theatrically in the United States on November 4th, 2011. The movie stars Ben Stiller as Josh Kovaks, Eddie Murphy as Slide, Casey Affleck as Charlie, Alan Alda as Arthur Shaw, Matthew Broderick as Mister Fitzhugh, Judd Hirsch as Mister Simon and Téa Leoni as Special Agent Claire Denham.
The premise of the film involves a group of men who had all lost their life savings due to a Ponzi scheme perpetuated by Arthur Shaw, who remains in his penthouse tower under house arrest. Joining forces, these men decide to get what's coming to them.
