Description[]

The Titty Twister was a bar located in Mexico not far from the U.S. border. It catered specifically to truckers and bikers. What most people didn't know was that the bar was a sanctuary and feeding ground for vampires, who lured various people, mostly men, with promises of sexual escapades with various women. The front façade of the bar was built into the side of an ancient Aztec temple, the anterior of which faced a cliff-side. After killing their prey, the vampires would dump their victims' vehicles behind the cliff's edge.

In 1996, two American bank robbers named Richard and Seth Gecko brought Jacob Fuller, Kate Fuller, and Scott Fuller across the Mexican border as hostages. They stopped at the Titty Twister where Seth had arranged to meet up with a contact named Carlos. By this point, tensions between the Geckos and the Fullers had relaxed slightly, and Seth encourage them to join him in carousing at the Titty Twister.

When they first arrived, they encountered a doorman named Chet Pussy who hawked the wares of the establishment, namely women, and bragged about the wide variety of "pussy" that was available. Once inside, they encountered the bartender, Razor Charlie, and enjoyed watching a Mexican band play on the stage as well as a dance routine performed by Santanico Pandemonium, which involved a snake.

When the show concluded, the vampires of the establishment revealed their true visage to the humans in attendance and attacked them. The Geckos and the Fullers teamed up with two other patrons, Frost and Sex Machine, to fight off the vampires. The humans made an impressively valiant effort, and succeeded in destroying a great many vampires, including Santanico, Chet and Razor Charlie. The struggle came at great cost however, as one by one, their numbers dwindled. Richie was the first to fall, followed by Sex Machine, then Frost. Jacob was bitten and forced his family to take measures against him once he changed. By the end of the evening, Seth Gecko and Kate Fuller were the only ones left standing.

Notes & Trivia[]

  • The Titty Twister was the main setting from the 1996 feature film version of From Dusk Till Dawn.
  • The Titty Twister also made appearances in From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series on the El Rey Network and first appeared in episode 1x05 of the series, "Self-Contained".
  • The name of the establishment is taken from a school prank, which involved grabbing someone's nipple between the thumb and forefinger and twisting it in order to cause pain. [1]
  • In television broadcasts of the From Dusk Till Dawn feature film, the name of the establishment was changed to "Kitty Twister", which doesn't make any sense. Why would someone want to twist a kitty?
  • It is unclear exactly what happens to the house band from the film. During the chaos, the band finishes their set (which includes a beautifully constructed human guitar), and says "Fuck you, Good Night!" before exploding in a shower of sparks. Did they kill themselves by spontaneously combusting to avoid getting staked, or did they just use stage pyrotechnics to obscure their getaway?
