Biography[]

Susan Harris.
Doctor Susan Harris was a scientist and a doctor of entomology. She worked at the Brandt Research laboratory in Peckham, California during the early 1970s. Embittered by the sexual politics of her era, Doctor Harris used her scientific expertise and knowledge of bees to create controlled mutations in female test subjects. Harris created deadly offshoots of humanity, which possessed insect characteristics, including herself.
With her army of "Bee Girls", Doctor Harris began committing a string of murders, targeting specific male members of the Brandt laboratory. She seduced a co-worker named Herb Kline, inviting him to her home where they had sex. Kline formed a blood clot, which proved to be fatal. She then used her process on Herb's widow, Nora Kline, transforming her into a Bee Girl as well.
Following the funeral of a woman named Gretchen Grubowsky, Doctor Harris killed another scientist named Aldo Ferrara. She then captured Julie Zorn and brought her to the laboratory to be converted into a Bee Girl.
A State Department officer named Neil Agar, who had been investigating the string of deaths, eventually tracked the clues back to Doctor Harris. Confronting her in the laboratory, he witnessed Susan attempting to convert Julie Zorn into one of her followers. Harris threatened to kill Zorn unless Agar agreed to leave, but he fired his gun at the computer banks, causing the machines to explode. Doctor Harris died in the explosion, but Neil was able to rescue Julie and get her to safety.
