Biography[]

Squires was an employee of Scotland Yard in the mid-1930s, possibly even an inspector. In 1931, he came into the officer of Commissioner Sir Basil Humphrey, telling him that he had just received a telephone call from Whitby Jail. The guards on duty were requesting advice on what to do about the bodies that had been brought in. When Humphrey asked "what bodies?", Squires told him that it was the bodies of Count Dracula and his mad servant, Renfield. Humphrey told him that he was sending men over to pick them up at 10:00 pm.
