Solomon Kane is a French, British & Czech co-produced feature film of the Adventure genre. It was written and directed by Michael J. Bassett based on concepts originally developed by author Robert E. Howard. It was produced by Davis-Films, Czech Anglo Productions and Wandering Star Pictures. It premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival in Canada on September 16th, 2009. It premiered in the United States at the Austin Fantastic Fest in Texas on September 24th, 2009. The movie stars James Purefoy as Puritan avenger Solomon Kane.
