Overview[]

Shannon Amberson was a receptionist at Regal Auctioneers. She was the younger sister of Alexandra Amberson and was one of many people tormented by the actions of an evil Djinn, who used his power to coerce Alexandra into making three wishes.

Biography[]

Years ago, Shannon and her family were trapped in a fire. Her older sister Alexandra managed to save her, but was unable to save their parents. Alexandra nursed a lifelong guilt over it, and Shannon had to remind her that she should not blame herself for a situation that she could not control.

Shannon worked as a receptionist at Regal Auctioneers in California. She was present the day a pawn broker named Doug Clegg came in with a red fire opal gem stone.

After having a heart-to-heart discussion with her sister about their past, Shannon accompanied Alex to one of the basketball games that she had been coaching. In the stands was a man named Nathaniel Demerest, who asked to use Shannon's cell phone. Shannon had no way of knowing that Demerest was actually the human guise of an evil Djinn that Alex had set free and was now obligated to grant her three wishes.

Shannon attended a party being hosted by art collector Raymond Beaumont. Alex made an unexpected appearance at the party and tried to pull Shannon out of the way, telling her that she was in great danger. Demerest was also at the party and, fulfilling the wishes of Beaumont himself (or at least his own macabre interpretation of Beaumont's wish), turned the party into a hideous tableau of mayhem as pieces of art sprung to life and began savagely killing the patrons. To goad Alex into making her third and final wish, the Djinn trapped Shannon in a vision of being burned alive. Alex made a wish that altered the events of the past two days, making it so that the Djinn never escaped from his gem stone prison. As such, all events relating to Shannon during those two days never took place.
