In the 1965 tokusatsu film, Frankenstein Conquers the World, the character of Furankenshutain loses his hand while as an adolescent, but regrows it as he advances in both age and size. In Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back, Darth Vader uses his lightsaber to cut off Luke Skywalker's hand during their dual in Cloud City.
