It was written and directed by Martin McDonagh and produced by CBS Films, Film4, and Blueprint Pictures. It stars an ensemble cast of recognizable actors including Colin Farrell as Marty, Sam Rockwell as Billy, Woody Harrelson as Charlie, Christopher Walken as Hans, and Harry Dean Stanton as the man in the hat. The movie had its world premiere at the Toronto Film Festival on September 7th, 2012. It premiered in the United States on October 12th, 2012.
