Sarah Jordan was a wealthy socialite from the United States who was living in London, England. While attending a fundraiser, she witnessed an impassioned plea from a man named Nick Callahan, who championed the cause of humanitarian aid for impoverished children.
This stirred something within Sarah and she left the trappings of her British life to pursue work abroad, aiding humanitarian relief efforts in Ethiopia, while simultaneously fanning the flames of passion between herself and Nick.
