Sandy is a fictional waitress and a minor character featured in the 1980 slasher film Friday the 13th. She was played by actress Sally Anne Golden.
Biography[]
Sandy was a waitress at a the Blairstown Diner just outside Camp Crystal Lake. In June of 1979, campground manager Steve Christy visited her and described his counselors as "babes in the woods". Sandy teased Steve by giving him a discount on his meal, then said that he owed her a "night on the town".

- The character of Sandy was created by director Sean S. Cunningham and writers Victor Miller and Ron Kurz.
- She is the first character named Sandy in the Friday the 13th film series. Another character, Sandra Dier, appeared in Friday the 13th Part 2.
- Actress Sally Anne Golden is the first member of the Friday the 13th film series cast to pass away. She died in New York City, New York on January 29th, 1982 at the age of 71.
- Playing the role of Sandy is Sally Anne Golden's third and final film work. It is also her second movie in the horror genre. She previously played a policewoman in the 1976 thriller Alice Sweet Alice.
- An "In memory of..." credit was given to Sally Anne Golden in the 2013 video documentary, Crystal Lake Memories: The Complete History of Friday the 13th.
