Sadako 2 3D is a Japanese feature film of the supernatural fiction subgenre of horror, with an emphasis on ghost fiction. It is part of the greater Ringu film series, and is the fifth official film in the series and the installment to carry the Sadako title. The movie was directed by Tsutomu Hanabusa with a screenplay written by Daisuke Hosaka and Noriaki Sugihara based on concepts originally developed by Kôji Suzuki. It was produced by Kadokawa Pictures and the Tohokushinsha Film Corporation. It premiered in Japan on August 30th, 2013.
