Pretty Woman is an American feature film of the romantic comedy genre. It was directed by Garry Marshall with a screenplay written by J.F. Lawton. It was produced by Silver Screen Partners, IV and presented by Touchstone Pictures. Distributed through Buena Vista Pictures, Pretty Woman premiered in the United States on March 23rd, 1990. The film stars Richard Gere in the male lead as Edward Lewis with Julia Roberts playing the female lead, Vivian Ward.
