Platinum Dunes is an American film production company. It was founded by producer/director Michael Bay as well as filmmakers Andrew Form and Brad Fuller in November of 2001. The production studio specializes in remakes of famous horror films such as A Nightmare on Elm Street. Since none of these films proved to be financially successful, Platinum Dunes expanded its parameters to include action, science fiction and fantasy films.
