Miss Peabody was a middle-aged woman who lived in London, England in the early of the 20th century. In the 1930s, she worked as a nurse at St. Mary's Hospital in Chelsea. A psychiatrist who worked at the hospital, Doctor Jeffrey Garth, had difficulty adjusting his bow tie and so he asked Miss Peabody to assist him.
