Okoye is the leader of the Dora Milaje, who are in charge of protecting the King of Wakanda. She is portrayed by the actress Danai Gurira, and was created by Ryan Coogler and Joe Robert Cole, and is based on a comic book character by Christopher Priest and Mark Texeira.

- Okoye's attire is similar to that of the other members of the Dora Milaje, but she has gold plating and jewellery, as opposed to the silver, and she wears an orange fabric rather than the red fabric worn by the others. This is most likely to show that she is the leader.
