A nudist, or naturist, is someone who chooses not to wear clothing as a lifestyle choice. This does not mean they are always naked, but will be naked when they can, often at home or at a Nudist Club. Nudists are not to be confused with (but nevertheless, often confused for) swingers.
In the 60's, there seemed to be a boom of nudist films, or films which included nudism in some form. Originally, nudist films were not allowed to show genitalia, but were allowed to show buttocks and bare breasts.
