Now You See Me is an American feature film of the action and thriller genres. It is classified as a "Heist" film, glamorizing deceitful and criminal lifestyles such as Prestidigitation, and the art of "the con". The film was directed by Louis Leterrier with a screenplay written by Ed Solomon, Boaz Yakin, and Edward Ricourt based on a story treatment by Yakin and Ricourt. It was produced by Summit Entertainment and released theatrically in the United States on May 31st, 2013. The main characters of the film are a group of stage magicians known as "The Four Horsemen", which includes Jesse Eisenberg as illusionist J. Daniel Atlas, Woody Harrelson as mentalist Merritt McKinney, Isla Fisher as escape artist Henley Reeves, and Dave Franco as pickpocket con artist Jack Wilder. Actor Mark Ruffalo plays Dylan Rhodes, the investigator tasked with bringing them down after they use their abilities to manipulate someone into robbing a bank. Dylan Rhodes is teamed up with Interpol agent Alma Dray, played by Mélanie Laurent. Rounding out the cast is Michael Caine as Arthur Tressler, the Horsemen's financial benefactor, and Morgan Freeman as Thaddeus Bradley, a reformed magician looking to debunk and expose the Four Horsemen as frauds.
