A narrator is, within any story, the person that conveys the story to the audience. When the narrator is also a character within the story, he or she is sometimes known as the viewpoint character. John Larroquette was the narrator for the infamous opening to the 1974 horror film The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. He reprised the role for a slightly altered narration for the 2003 remake of the film.
