Biography[]
Mrs. Lantz was a resident of Elm Street along with her husband and son, Glen Lantz. In the early 1980s, Glen had been dating his neighbor Nancy Thompson - a girl troubled by strange, horrific dreams. Nancy's sleep disorder had become so severe that her mother felt the need to install bars over all of the doors and windows of her home. Mister Lantz believed that such action could only mean that Nancy was seriously disturbed and he did not like the idea of such a girl associating with his son.
Mrs. Lantz went up to her son's room to find him laying in bed with headphones and a small television resting on his stomach. When she asked him what he was watching, he indicated that Miss Nude America was scheduled to come on. Mrs. Lantz asked how he was expected to hear what she had to say while wearing headphones, to which Glen responded, "Who cares what she says?"
When Nancy called the house hoping to speak to Glen, Mrs. Lantz answered the phone. She asked her what she wanted, but her husband took the phone receiver from her and abruptly ended the call, citing "You have to be firm with these kids".
Moments later, Mrs. Lantz went upstairs, but when she entered Glen's bedroom, she found a violent geyser of blood vomiting forth from the bed, covering the walls and ceiling. She screamed in terror as she realized that her son was now dead - a victim of the monstrous dream demon known as Freddy Krueger.
