Mayhem is an American feature film of the action and thriller genres. It was directed by Joe Lynch with a screenplay written by Matias Caruso. It was produced by Circle of Confusion and Royal Viking Entertainment and premiered at the South by Southwest Film Festival in the United States on March 13th, 2017. The film stars Steven Yeun as Derek Cho - an ambitious young lawyer at a prestigious law firm, who climbed the ladder of success for his participation in a trial relating to a virus that temporarily turned all those infected into violent, libidinous psychopaths. Samara Weaving co-stars as Melanie Cross - a young woman who comes to the law firm seeking aid. Before she can get any satisfaction however, the building is put on lockdown as staff members begin to succumb to their more base, primal urges. Derek is in for the fight of his life - if for no other reason than to keep his job!
