Matricide is the practice of killing one's own mother, either intentionally or by accident. In many cases, the adage of "Bitch had it comin'" may apply, but by and large it is considered to be a frowned upon action, not to mention illegal! In the 1960 film Psycho, it is implied that Norman Bates murdered his own mother. Her skeletal remains are later found inside the family residence at the Bates Motel. Another distraught youth, Carrie White, killed her mother with her freaky-deaky telekinesis to wield a knife.
