Marvel Studios, LLC is an American film production studio. It was previously known as Marvel Films prior to becoming a property of Walt Disney Productions. Marvel Studios is the movie production arm of Marvel Entertainment, which licenses the film rights to comic book properties published by Marvel Comics. Marvel Studios' projects primarily produces movies of the superhero fantasy genre including, but not isolated to, films under the Marvel Cinematic Universe shared continuity.
