Biography[]

Mrs. Katherine Hendley was a resident of San Francisco with her husband Ted in the 1970s. In 1978, an alien micro-organism came to Earth and began supplanting human society by spawning duplicates of its citizens, ultimately resulting in the death of the original person. Katherine became suspicious of her husband when he began exhibiting strange, antisocial behavior. She confided in renowned psychiatrist Doctor David Kibner unaware that he too was now a "pod person". David consoled Katherine and tried to quell her anxiety by assuring her that nothing was wrong. After seeing Kibner, Hendley met a woman named Elizabeth Driscoll who empathized with her plight, citing that she was experiencing a similar crisis. She gave Katherine her contact information and asked her to call upon her if she needed someone to talk to.

Before long however, Katherine became a victim of the body snatchers. Once the duplicate matured, Katherine's body disintigrated. The duplicate later met up with Elizabeth who immediately recognized her as a pod person.
