Joe Dirt is an American feature film of the comedy genre. It was directed by Dennie Gordon with a script written by David Spade and Fred Wolf. It was produced by Robert Simonds of Robert Simonds Productions and Adam Sandler of Happy Madison Productions and distributed through Columbia Pictures - a division of Sony Pictures Entertainment. It was released theatrically in the United States on April 11th, 2001. The film stars David Spade as the eponymous Joe Dirt - a redneck traveling across America's heartland in search of his parents. The film also stars Brittany Daniel as Brandy, Dennis Miller as radio host Zander Kelly, Adam Beach as Joe's friend Kicking Wing, Christopher Walken as Clem, Jaime Pressly as Jill, and Kid Rock as Dirt's rival, Robby.
