Grandpa Hugo, realm name unknown, is a fictional character featured in the 2003 horror film House of 1000 Corpses. He was played by actor Dennis Fimple.
Biography[]
Grandpa Hugo was a member of the sadistic Firefly family and lived in the town of Deadwood during the late 1970s. Although he shared in his family's mania, he appeared to be one of the more level-headed members of the group, albeit with an acerbic personality.
Grandpa Hugo criticized Mother Firefly for making her dinner guests wear macabre masks during their meal. After dinner however, Grandpa delighted in entertaining their guests by hosting "Showtime", an impromptu stage performance featuring Baby Firefly in a Vaudeville act.

- House of 1000 Corpses was the final film performance for actor Dennis Fimple. Fimple passed away on August 23rd, 2002. A dedication to his memory was included in the film credits. [2][3]
- Grandpa Hugo's name is derived from Hugo Z. Hackenbush, a character from the 1937 Groucho Marx film A Day at the Races. Many of the characters featured in House of 1000 Corpses are named after Groucho Marx characters. [4]
