
Hudson Hawk is an American feature films blending elements of action and comedy in the framework of a crime drama. The film was directed by Michael Lehmann with a screenplay written by Steven E. deSouza and Daniel Waters, based upon a story treatment by Robert Kraft and Bruce Willis (the latter of which is also the star of the film). The movie was produced by Tri-Star Pictures, Silver Pictures and Ace Bone and released theatrically in the United States on May 24th, 1991.
Bruce Willis plays Eddie, a cat burglar who recently gets out of prison and reunites with his old partner-in-crime Tommy Five-Tone (played by Danny Aiello). James Coburn plays George Kaplan - the leader of a mercenary group who forces Eddie to steal a valuable artifact from the Louvre in Paris. Andie MacDowell takes the female lead of Anna Baragli, the love interest for Willis' character. Other notable cast members include Richard E. Grant and Sandra Bernhard as the over-the-top yuppie villains, Darwin & Minerva Mayflower.
