Golf is a competitive outdoor sport in which a player uses a metal club and whacks a ball in the hopes that it will land inside of a tiny hole many yards away. Whether he or she gets it in the hole or not, they then walk over to where the ball lands and repeat the process by trying to get it into another hole. Wash, rinse, repeat for a total of eighteen holes. Believe it or not, there really aren't that many movie about golfing. The most notable of them all is of course Caddyshack, which was a comedy directed by Harold Ramis released in 1980. This film yielded an underwhelming 1988 sequel called Caddyshack II. Adam Sandler lent his own comedic air to the sport with his 1996 film Happy Gilmore, in which he played the eponymous protagonist Happy Gilmore, a former hockey player, who is convinced to channel his anger management issues into a more soothing enterprise - Golf. In 2000, Will Smith and Matt Damon starred in the period drama The Legend of Bagger Vance, which was based on the 1995 novel The Legend of Bagger Vance: A Novel of Golf and the Game of Life.
