Godzilla vs. Mothra is a Japanese science fiction monster film. It is the nineteenth film in Toho Company's Godzilla film series and is the fourth film in the Heisei period of the 1990s. The movie was directed by Takao Okawara with a script written by Kazuki Ohmori. It premiered in Japan on December 12th, 1992. It is sometimes considered a quasi-remake of the 1964 film Mothra vs. Godzilla.
