Ghost is the movie that made everyone want to learn how to make pottery, and skip beer cans across a subway platform. The film was directed by Jerry Zucker with a script written by Bruce Joel Rubin. It was produced by Paramount Pictures and released theatrically in the United States on July 13th, 1990. The film stars Patrick Swayze as Sam Wheat - a man who is shot and killed and whose ghost is desperate to reconnect with that of his lover, Molly Jensen, played by Demi Moore. The film also stars Whoopi Goldberg as medium and confidence artist Oda Mae Brown and Tony Goldwyn as Carl Bruner.
