  • Galaxy of Terror was released on DVD and Blu-ray on July 20th, 2010 by Shout! Factory. The DVD includes a video documentary entitled Tales from the Lumberyard: The Making of Galaxy of Terror.
  • This is the third genre film for actor Robert Englund. He previously appeared in Dead & Buried, released the same year as Galaxy of Terror. Englund will eventually become known as a horror film icon, specifically for his portrayal of wisecracking dream demon Freddy Krueger in the A Nightmare on Elm Street franchise.
  • First professional genre work for James Cameron. Cameron worked as a second unit director on this film. He eventually becomes a well-known film director famous for helming films such as Aliens, The Terminator, The Abyss, Titanic and Avatar.
