French refers to the people, language, culture and customs of France. It also relates to French films, which are considered foreign films by non-French people. In American and even some British cinema, French culture has been stereotyped in many movies to include exaggerated accents (such as the obnoxious French soldier from Monty Python and the Holy Grail), romanticism (which pretty comes up in every Rom-com involving France) and the ever-present need to take a shot at American cuisine, be it coffee, pastries, what-have-you.
