Frank Andrews is a fictional game keeper and a supporting character featured in the "Universal Monsters" film series produced by Universal Pictures. Played by actor Patric Knowles, he appeared in the 1941 film, The Wolf Man.
Biography[]
Frank Andrews was a gameskeeper for the Talbot estate in the early 1940s. He was engaged to a local girl named Gwen Conliffe. In 1941, Larry Talbot, the son of Frank's employer returned home after spending eighteen years abroad. Larry developed an interest in Gwen, but Frank restrained himself from showing any outwards signs of jealousy. Upon meeting Larry, he remarked that there was something very "haunted" about the man. Frank and Gwen accompanied Talbot to a local fair. When rumors of a werewolf attack began to circulate throuhgout the village, Frank was one of the first villagers to join the search party. Frank was out with the other hunters the night that John Talbot was forced to kill the werewolf, but he was not present to see the creature transform back into the form of Larry Talbot. [3]
What became of Frank Andrews following this incident is unknown. Presumably, Gwen and he were married.
