Escape from Mars is an American television movie of the science fiction genre. It was directed by Neill Fearnley and written by Jim Henshaw and Peter Mohan. It was produced by the Credo Entertainment Group and first aired on the United Paramount Network on February 25th, 1999. The film stars Christine Elise as Sagan Co-commander Lia Poirier, Peter Outerbridge as Sagan co-commander John Rank, Allison Hossack as mission chemist Andrea Singer, Michael Shanks as mission architect Bill Malone, Ron Lea as Jason - the mission control weasel and Kavan Smith as mission biogeochemist Sergei Andropov. The premise of the film involes the first manned trip to Mars, which takes place in the 2010s.
