The Eiko-Maru is the name of a fictional boat featured in the Godzilla film series. It appeared in the 1954 film, Gojira.

The Eiko-Maru was a freighter vessel weighing in at 7,500 tons. In 1954, it was on a voyage across the Sea of Japan when it had an unfortunate and disastrous encounter with a giant sea monster known as Gojira. The men on deck, who had previously been enjoying some leisure time, looked up only to be blinded by a brilliant flash of light. It was the last thing any of these men ever saw as the creature's radioactive breath set the ship aflame. Crew members below deck managed to get out an S.O.S., but all hands went down as the flaming ship sank beneath the waves.

Following the destruction of the Eiko-Maru, the Japanese Coast Guard contacted Hideto Ogata of the Southern Sea Salvage company. A rescue ship, the Bingo Maru was sent out to find any possible survivors, but was attacked as well. Three men survived, but later succumbed to their injuries.
