Easy Rider is that movie that all middle-aged bikers love. It's got that whole "life on the open road" and "searching for the real America" thing going for it. The movie was written and directed by Dennis Hopper, who also stars in the film. It was co-written by Hopper's co-star in the film, Peter Fonda, as well as Terry Southern. It was produced by Columbia Pictures and released theatrically in the United States on July 14th, 1969. A sequel film, Easy Rider II: The Ride Back, was produced in 2012. The less said about that the better.
