Dancer

A dancer is one who engages in the performing art of dance. This involves rhythmic body movements set to music. There are many different styles of dancing including modern dance, ballet, break-dancing, dubstep, krunk, etc. Yes, even strippers dance, though this has more to do with some schmuck shoving some dollars into a dancer's g-string rather than an appreciation for the art-form.

Dancers hail from all walks of life. They might be aspiring competitive dancers who are "in it to win it" (and lets all collectively beat the crap out of the genius who first gave us THAT phrase, shall we?), or they might be hardened Pittsburgh steel workers who discover the majesty of dancing on stage and having a bucket of water pour down upon them. It takes all kinds.

Though it is not common, the art of dance is not restricted to just humans. Some members of the animal kingdom likewise engage in interpretative dance. There are even rumors of a rather problematic gopher known to skulk about various golf courses, taunting greens-keepers by dancing after they evade capture.
