A cult is a religious order of a pagan faith that observes certain ceremonial or ritualistic traditions. Their membership is usually made up of the sorts of people that modern researchers generally refer to as "whack-a-doodles", or, "loonies". One who joins a cult is called a cultist. Membership in a cult is not always voluntary. Sometimes people are drugged and/or brainwashed into joining.
