Crawl is an American horror film of the predatory animal subgenre. It was directed by Alexandre Aja with a screenplay written by Michael Rasmussen and Shawn Rasmussen. It was produced by Paramount Pictures and Raimi Productions and released theatrically in the United States on July 12th, 2019.

Plot[]

A category five hurricane is sweeping across north central Florida. College swim team champion Haley Keller leaves school to drive to Gainesville to check on her father, construction worker Dave Keller.

Breaking through the police barricade, she gets to her father's house, but finds no trace of him except for the family dog, Sugar. Haley makes her way down into an expansive labyrinthine crawlspace which is now being flooded. She finds her father, who is injured, as a result of an alligator bite. Two massive alligators have entered the crawlspace by way of a drainage pipe and are now swimming about looking for fresh prey.

Haley struggles to protect her injured father, while also trying to find away to escape the gator-infested sub-levels and reach the surface.
