Christine is a 1983 horror film directed by John Carpenter and produced by Kirby McCauley, Mark Tarlov and Richard Kobritz. It is based on the Christine novel written by Stephen King. The plot centers around a young man named Arnie Cunningham who restores a 1958 Plymouth Fury which he names Christine. The car develops a mind of its own and begins systematically murdering Arnie's tormentors. Despite its demonic nature, Arnie grows very protective of Christine and refuses to let anybody come between him and his car.
