Cat People is an American feature film of the supernatural thriller genre, with an emphasis on shape-shifters; specifically, humans who can embody the physical characteristics of a panther. It is a remake of the 1942 film Cat People, directed by Jacques Tourneur. The film was directed by Paul Schrader with a script written by Alan Ormsby.
