Biography[]

Allison DeFeo

The real Allison DeFeo.

Allison Louise DeFeo was the third child of Ronald DeFeo, Sr. and Louise DeFeo. Born on August 16th, 1961, she was the younger sibling of Ronald DeFeo, Jr. (10) and Dawn DeFeo (6). The family lived in an old Dutch Colonial home at 112 Ocean Avenue in Long Island, New York.

On November 13th, 1974, between the hours of 3:00 and 3:15 am, Ronald DeFeo, Jr., for reasons that remain unclear, used a Marlin 336C shotgun and shot and killed every member of the household including his parents and all four siblings. Allison DeFeo's body was found lying face down in her bed with ballistics evidence concluding that she had been shot from behind. Allison DeFeo was 13 years old at the time of her death. She was buried at Saint Charles Cemetery in East Farmingdale, New York.

In an interview with Ronald DeFeo, Jr. conducted in the 2000s, DeFeo asserted that his sister Dawn played a hand in the DeFeo family murders, and may have possibly been Allison's killer. As this is a second-hand account provided by an unreliable source, it is impossible to determine what, if any involvement, Dawn may have had in Allison's death.
