Æon Flux is an American feature film of the action and science fiction genres. It was directed by Karyn Kusama with a screenplay written by Phil Hay and Matt Manfredi. It was produced by Paramount Pictures, Lakeshore Entertainment, and Valhalla Motion Pictures. It premiered theatrically in the United States on December 2nd, 2005. The film stars Charlize Theron as the eponymous assassin known as Æon Flux - a member of a resistance cell from the year 2415 called the Monicans, who is tasked to kill the government's leader, Trevor Goodchild, played by Marton Csokas.
