2019 is the nineteenth year of the 21st century. It follows 2018 and precedes 2020. The year began on a Tuesday. As with most movie years that come and go, 2019 is filled to the brim with sequels, remakes and over-the-top CG blockbusters. It's got new super-heroes in the form of Captain Marvel. It's got noteworthy heroes of years past that need to save the universe (or at least half of it) in the Avengers film series. Speaking of saving the universe... the Men in Black franchise goes international and, oddly enough, stars the two main actors from Thor: Ragnarok. There are also dragons that need training, killer clowns found in both the It and Joker film projects, a kid who thinks he's King Arthur, a really, really, really big green lizard monster, and to the surprise of just about everyone... some Pokémon!
