2018 is the eighteenth year of the 21st century. It follows 2017 and precedes 2019. Invariably, dinosaurs are expected to appear. It would come as a surprise to nobody if someone wielding a lightsaber popped up around this time also. Then, of course, there's the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
