2-1B surgical droid[]
The 2-1B model surgical droid was employed by the Alliance to Restore the Republic during the Galactic Civil War. One of these units was stationed at Echo Base on the planet Hoth and administered care to Luke Skywalker after he had suffered from exposure as well as injuries wrought by a wampa. 2-1B also analyzed the conditions of a dead Tauntaun, which had likewise died from exposure. A similar model (or perhaps even the same one) was stationed aboard the Home One frigate and aided Luke Skywalker in adjusting to his cybernetic prosthetic hand.
