- Supervising producer Murray Francis is credited as Murray "Muzza" Francis in this film.

- The movie includes an alternate ending featuring Baku some time in the future, retelling the events of the film to a group of children. This is similar to the ending of the 1975 film Battle for the Planet of the Apes wherein the Lawkeeper educates ape and human students about their shared heritage.
